FAQ

Here is a list of frequently asked questions from our past school partners.

Q: How will COVID-19 impact our school's, or my child's, participation in the Fall of 2020?
A: We have outlined two different strategies for both schools who are continuing virtual learning and schools who will be returning to typical school in the Fall 2020. For schools in virtual learning, we will coordinate with parents to select the best days and times for testing during the week. For schools returning to typical school, we will coordinate with teachers and/or administrators to find time for virtual testing during the school day. We are open to working together to determine the best course of action.

Q: Does my school need to purchase tablets?
A: We ship tablets to you to borrow for testing. We will include a pre-paid shipping label and box to ship the materials back once testing in completed.

Q: Does my school get to keep the app?
A: Your school will have early access to the completed app once it is fully developed.

Q: What do you need from my school?

A: Teachers, or a lead contact from the school, will send home parent/guardian permission forms and disseminate information to families.

Q: How many students do you need from my school?
A: We are looking for 400 students, ages 4-8, to participate in the Fall/Winter 2020 validation. We recommend sending out parent permission forms to all  4-8 year old students in your school, recognizing that not all will be returned. We will work with as many students who have signed permission forms from your school.

Q: Do parents and schools receive results?
A: Yes, we provide both parents and schools with standardized test results. Although we only recommend using these for instructional planning purposes. These are not intended to be diagnostic tools.
